In a presentation to its investors, Twitter announced two upcoming features that will be released in the near-future. Super Follows is Twitters way of allowing creators to monetize their content. Premium content, extra tweets, subscriptions to newsletter, or invitations to exclusive Communities could all be parts a creator offers under the Super Follows program. Super Follows will be charged a monthly rate for access to the premium content.
Communities is Twitter’s answer to Facebook’s Groups. Communities allows users to create or join a group of people with similar interests or about a particular topic.
There was no mention when either of these features would be rolling out but when Twitter typically announces features, they roll out within a few months to all users.
