Hyundai Debuts the 2022 IONIQ 5

Today, Hyundai revealed their 2022 all-electric IONIQ 5 mid-size CUV (Crossover Utility Vehicle). Hyundai’s new EV comes with a 292 mile range on a full charge and unique styling such as flush door handles much like Tesla’s as well as a cleanly-designed interior.

Inside we see a “universal island” that slides forward and back and an overall flatter floor to allow for greater comfort inside the vehicle. Hyundai spent a lot of time during the reveal emphasizing the eco-friendly materials used to construct the IONIQ 5 such as its seats, headliner, armrests and floor– all use sustainably sources and recycled materials

We also see a 12 inch touchscreen infotainment screen as well as a 12 inch screen for gauges. The IONIQ 5 is equipped with an augmented reality heads up display (AR HUD) as well as Hyundai’s latest driver’s assistance package, Hyundai SmartSense.

The Hyundai IONIQ 5 will be released in certain regions throughout the world in the first half of 2021.
