We predicted it and here it is: Apple’s answer to the Tile tracker: the AirTag. Users can track their stuff with a $29 tracker and using the Find My app on their iPhone. The AirTag can also be pinged so users can listen to an audible alert from the built-in speaker to help find keys or whatever the AirTag is being used on. With “Precision Finding”, users will be given directions on their iPhone and a “hot”/”cold” system is employed to let users know if they are closing in on the item or moving further away. The tags are water resistant and Apple has released a number of accessories to go along with the AirTags. AirTags will be available for purchase on April 30th.
